A classical music festival has opened in Copenhagen, Denmark, with some dogs added to the orchestra.
Footage of the rehearsals shows three dogs taking part in a performance of “The Hunting Symphony”, a little-known piece by Leopold, father of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Conductor Adam Fisher — who auditioned dozens of dogs for the role — said he respected the composer’s wish to have part of the symphony accompanied by hounds.
Chosen for their barking skills, Cookie, Sophos and Sika underwent three months of training: not only to bark on command, but to stay quiet for the rest of the performance.
