Spain won the Women’s World Cup in August, but the team’s success has since been overshadowed by Luis Rubiales’ actions during the celebrations after the final whistle.
As the winning team took to the stage to receive their medals, the then Spanish Federation president kissed midfielder Gheni Hermoso on the lips, a kiss he says was consensual but she says was not.
After being summoned by a Superior Court judge to answer charges of sexual assault and coercion, Rubiales was banned from coming within 200 meters of soccer player Ms. Hermoso.
BBC correspondent Guy Hedgeco is at the National Court in Madrid and breaks down the story in 87 seconds.
